1、Providing Greater Force in a Smaller Space
A compact nitrogen gas spring BKH50.0-025-135 (with a cylinder diameter of 75mm and a stroke of 25mm) is equivalent to 14 SSWH50-300 overloaded coil springs (with a diameter of 50mm and a preload of 20mm, K=16.7),
Pre pressure=20mm× 16.7=334kgf, 4700/334=14 coil springs).

Advantages:

Reduce installation area: Nitrogen gas springs require 44.16 square centimeters, while coil springs require 247.75 square centimeters, which is nearly 6 times larger.

Reduce installation height: The nitrogen spring cylinder only requires 135 centimeters, while the coil spring requires 280 centimeters.

Reduce installation space: Nitrogen gas springs only require 596.16 square centimeters, while coil springs require 7963 square centimeters. Compared to installing 14 coil springs, one nitrogen gas spring does not require preloading, guidance, and fixation.

2、Under the premise of equal work travel, the overall height is greatly reduced.

A short nitrogen gas spring BKJ5.0-080-210 (diameter 45mm, stroke 80mm, total height 210mm, final pressure 636kgf) is equivalent to a medium load coil spring with a diameter of 63mm, working stroke 80mm, total height 305mm, and final elastic force 518kgf.

Advantages:

The same working stroke and elasticity result in a significant decrease in height.

Make the structure of the mold compact and reduce costs.

3. Having a larger initial load

When the nitrogen gas spring comes into contact with the mold, it can provide a large known initial force, ranging from 45 daN (BKB0.45 cylinder diameter of 12mm) to 18300 daN (BKB180.0 cylinder diameter of 150mm), while the coil spring requires a preloading load to achieve this initial force.

Advantages:

Nitrogen gas springs do not require preloading.

Nitrogen gas spring installation is easier and faster, reducing costs.

4. Balance and control elasticity

After the nitrogen gas springs are connected to a pipeline system through hoses, the pressure of the gas inside each nitrogen gas spring is the same, thereby achieving balance in the entire system. These cannot be achieved through the use of coil springs, as the force provided by each coil cannot be exactly the same.

5. Adjustable pressure
The initial force of a nitrogen spring can be adjusted by changing the internal gas pressure, and for pipeline connections, pressure adjustment can be achieved through a control gauge (maximum pressure of 150 bar), while the force of a coil spring cannot be adjusted.
